Does my hmo cover me in foreign countries?

I want to move to Guatemala or the Honduras when I retire and need to know if an HMO covers my medical needs.

Check with your insurance. Most don't

No, they dont. HMO dont even cover much here.

I doubt that your HMO will cover you there, unless its like a special international plan or something. But usually, with HMO's you have to be signed up with a specific doctor in your state. And I am pretty sure the doctors outside your state will not be providers.

I recommend you to go with a PPO plan. With that plan, you can see any doctor you want, but you should still check with the insurance company to see if that still applies to doctors outside of the country. I dont think you will have a problem.

i seriously doubt it. Call the office and find out
