No PPO or HMO coverage @ work this year.. any other options?

This year I missed my health care enrollment deadline in a big way by mistake and I am looking to go get a sleep study done. Any other options?

Be VERY careful.
Try to get covered by someone/something ASAP.
If you go a year without coverage, you may not qualify the following year.

Anything "new" that's treated during the time you are uncovered may be considred a pre-existing condition when you become eligible for coverage again. So let's say you develop wrist pain from playing tennis during the year without coverage and when you're covered you develop carpal tunnel syndrome due to your job, you may not be covered for any CTS treatment.

Go to HR and find out what your exposure is.

Look for a teaching hospital. Some do sleep studies for free or pay you a fee. Google sleep studies. I google everything. I've even googled myself now and then.

Dang, you might have to pay for it. Talk to you human resources dept, or you can contact your local hospitals to see if one is offering a free program.

Kaiser Permanente has individual coverage that is under $100 a month (no I don't work for them...LOL)

Just a thought.
