DOES HIV 1 AND HIV 2 HAVE THE SAME ANTI BODIES?? read 10 points!!? |
I got tested for hiv 1 and the results were negative, if i have hiv 2 will an hiv 1 test detect it, im asuming they have different anti bodies? Because HIV-2 infections are not always detected by HIV-1 antibody tests, antibody tests for HIV-2 have been developed. Typically, most doctors will test for both: call your clinic and ask. |
