Is ther anyone ut there who likes HIPAA? |
Are there any healthcare needs of yours that were no met before HIPAA that are now met? HIPAA is stupid, our rights are no better protected now then they were before! All of our personal records and information are out there on stupid computers to be accessed by anyone with any know how...stupid HIPAA! No! Drives me crazy with all the forms! I liked the theory of it when it started because it is important to keep confidentiality, but it should not get in the way of care. it was supposed to allow people who needed to know patient information to find out, and nobody more....now its more like 10X the paperwork and nobody can get the records. Also prevents providers from knowing if the patient has any dangerous diseases (HIV, Hep C, etc...) health insurance portability and accountability act. I work with that so i think its great |
