HIPAA regulations has confidentiality improved? why or why not? Rules and regulations are only as good as the people who observe them. Most facilities, such as mine, have regular staff inservices to remind and reinforce ways to preserve privacy and the many small ways in which the privacy act can be violated. I think that, on the whole, patient and family confidentiality has improved. |
