Want to see sample website where you agree to release HIPAA medical info? |
I am looking for an example web site(s) where the user agrees on line with HIPAA medical privacy rules (not a pdf you fill in and fax). Or a very clear statement which says electronic signatures cant be used for this. I am implementing this on my site but repurposing a pdf... i cnat find any site where its already done. Your question is kind of confusing, are you talking about having a patient indicate they have received the NPP electronically? or you want a patient to electronically sign an authorization to disclose their medical records. If it is the later, it is not legal, HIPAA 164.508 requires a patients signature, in this context it must be a hand written signature there is no provision in the HIPAA regulations which allows for an electronic signature on an authorization to disclose medical records and this would be why you have found no sample website |
