If so, what has to be adressed in the policy? usually, when you go to a hospital or clinic, you will be given a HIPAA form to sign, which outlines the HIPAA laws, and informs you that your medical records will not be released to anyone without your consent. as far as the specifics in the policy, try to link below - it is pretty comprehensive. yes there are requirements, but I'm sorry I don't know what they are...I worked in a doc's office and the HIPAA forms were already done...you might want to contact your local hospital admin office and see what the have to say |
