Can someone answer a medical related question for me?

At what point during the course of treatment of a new patient should notice of use and disclosure of health information, required under HIPAA, be giving and why?

A patient should be given this information right away, before the doctor even sees him or her. It's a form that you sign. The reason is that the privacy of the patient is the law, hence the name of the act, HIPPA, which I believe stands for Health Information, Privacy, and Protection Act.

if you beng sued or if it need to go to another doctor but the pt has to sign concent form
