My HDL is consistently around 25, and I know it definitely needs to by at least double that...just looking for as many ways as possible to increase that number...I exercise regualarly, eat a heart healthy diet and include flaxseed. Any help and suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Tuna,
Salmon
skinless chicken white meat
skinless turkey white meat
whole wheat bread
barley
mangoes
peanuts
baked potato with skin
almonds
cheerios

minimum 1 hour vigorous aerobic exercise everyday.

- guggul extract
- salmon oil
- flax oil
- whole oats
- primrose oil
- sardines, mackerel
- nuts, seeds
- green tea
- TOTAL avoidance of hydrogenated oils
- lots of fresh fruits and vegetables (the more fiber, the better)
- not less than 20 minutes of exercise/day

Did anyone suggest living with the Eskimos yet?

Laurence has great suggestions. At least 45 minutes of aerobic activity, 5 times a week will help. (Less than that won't make much difference.) If all else fails, the prescription Niaspan (niacin), can help.
