My HDL cholestrol is 39 mg/dl only. Can someone guide me what foods I should take to improve?

I am 57. All other parameters are okay like LDL-98, VLDL-30, Total-167, TGL-149, Total/HDL ratio-4.3, Blood sugar fasting-114, Blood sugar PP - 154.

Psyllium husks (supplement powder, Vitamin world for instance).

Plus, eat stuff like oatmeal.

You need soluble fiber. Husk is what I'd start with.

Then while there, pick up some niacin and pantethine. NOT flush free version of niacin, and not pantothenic acid. Just niacin and pantethine.

exercise, more

exercise increases this number......

I tried Oats for breakfast 4 days a week, with no sugar; and topped with a fruit ... my favorite is berries.

i lowered mine dramatically in 30 days.
Cheerios was my choice because I can't swallow oatmeal.

i also gave up bread, for 1 slice, 1 day a week.

i never eat red meat, but do eat skinless chicken and fish, salmon, etc. i added 1 veggie a day and that was hard because i only like tomatoes, lettuce and green beans so i learned to like broccoli somewhat ...

good luck.

I may be wrong but that seems to be way over the top and would need medical help, I think it should be about 2.5-4.0. Get your Doctor's advice as soon as possible.

While diet and excercise play an important role in cholesterol levels, genes do as well: working with a doctor and/or nutricianist are important. There are certain foods that have been proven time and time again to help: cut out other oild than olive; eat lots of fruit; add avocado to your diet; more fibers and whole grains; and certain fruits like papaya help to break down cholesterols and other fats into more easily mangaed forms.

I came across this great product for weight loss and it was excellent for me. Together with a good diet and exercise I am finally happy with my body and the way I look. You should check this product at
