Is a low HDL Level a cause for concern? |
I have really low HDL levels (20). Im 25 years old, a tad overweight, but healthy. How can I (if ever) increase the level to 40+? Not in the near future but it is something you should watch. I am 24 and have low HDL levels also. My Dr. told me to watch what I eat and exercise. Routine Exercise can raise HDL levels by 20% over the course of several months. If HDL levels are not raised, then the individual is at a higher risk for heart attacks and blood clots in the arteries. Good Luck! |
