What happens when your HDL is too high and how do you lower it?

I got a calll from my doctor telling me that my HDL cholesteral (the good kind was too high). I didn't know it could get too high. What happens and how do I lower it?

You want your HDL to be high and your LDL to be low.

change your diet or take drugs

Ask your doctor. I guess, it should be Ok but cut your fat intake.

there is no such thing as a too high HDL only LDL... you need to talk to the doctor to make sure that you result were read correctly

I take FISH OIL - 1000 mg - OMEGA-3. It "supports a healthy heart and helps maintain normal CHOLESTEROL levels." (Quote from the bottle)

IMPORTANT: ASK YOUR DOCTOR BEFORE YOU TAKE ANY OVER THE COUNTER DRUG. ALSO, CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR JUST TO MAKE REAL SURE YOUR BODY IS ABLE TO WITHSTAND FISH OIL. THIS IS IMPORTANT - IMPORTANT - IMPORTANT!

Hope this helps, Awesome.
