All natural Cholesterol Regulation Complex helps you retain normal cholesterol levels, along with low-fat diet and exercise. Its blend of natural ingredients includes a unique compound that inhibits the absorption of dietary cholesterol and has been shown to increase HDL cholesterol. Also, it does NOT interrupt the production of coenzyme Q10, a nutrient important to heart health that helps cells produce energy.

Also, GLA Complex: reduces work demand on the heart; increases HDL; improves liver metabolism of fats and increases flow rate in small blood vessels.

Hope this is useful and feel free to contact me with questions or if interested in the brand or website.

Cheerios, Oatmeal, Avacados, Artichokes, Squash..... all of these things will help with your levels... High density lipoproteins come from a number of food sources. One thing to remember. No matter what if LDL goes down then HDL wont need to be so high anymore, you just want more HDL than LDL, and triglycirides matter also. I know all this, because I have 356 LDL,
I have had 5 heart attacks in 4 years. At one time i took Pravachole, Lipatore, and zocore.???? yea I know That can kill you too. You may have to face the facts some cholesterol levels will not do what the doctors want it too. Mine is hereditary MOM/ DAD have high Chol. levels Heart trouble. NOw I have CAD and CHF. One more thing you need to think about, Your doctor will probably tell you it cant happen, Let me assure you Your Doctor is just another person that reads books and then does what the government tells them too do. they will tell you this cant cause a stroke, IT CAN

Talk to your doctor about changing statins. I had the same problem when on Lipitor. I changed to Zocor & Niaspan, with excellent results.

Congratulations on stopping smoking!! Its the single best thing you can do for your health. The benefits are extensive. Good job!

Regarding Lipitor...you don't mention specific numbers so it is difficult to know precisely whether your lipoprotien profile is good or bad. It may make sense to accept a lower HDL while getting your LDL's to less than 70. Alternatively, adding Niacin or Niaspan and lowering your dose of Lipitor may accomplish your goal. Adding vigorous physical activity is effective at improving HDL's, as well. Dialing down your dose of Lipitor and adding Zetia may also be an option. (Vytorin is a combination medication)

As for Razwell...well look through his recent questions and you will see the boy is not right. He has embraced some fringe literature and believes the entire world is in cahoots in reducing cholesterol - and everyone is either stupid or scamming.

Many high quality studies demonstrate excellent risk reduction of heart disease, reduction of acute events, and reduction of death with adequate control of lipids. Your cardiologist is primarily interested in doing whatever is necessary to reduce any future cardiac events. And your cardiologist is confronted with real life success and failure daily...believe me, we know what works.

I would encourage you to do your own research. Pub Med on-line will give you access to any scientific journal abstract published in the last 10 years

Good luck and congratulations again!
