I have Gynecomastia? |
I started having gynecomastia two years ago in 8th grade, when i was around 13 years old. I didnt realize it until one day in PE a friend joked about my chest, and from then on i became very self conscious. Back then the area under my nipple was tender and hurt when it was touched. Now, two years later, im 15 and i still have it. I am 5 foot 11, 160 ft tall, and not chubby, and i have a fairly good build (not too skinny, not chubby, but muscular). I saw a doctor in Georgetown Hospital about my problem; he said the size of my gynecomastia on both nipples was bigger than the average cases, but he said that he has seen a lot worse. He recommended i get a surgery, however i do not want to do that. Is ther any other way i can get rid of this problem? Any way that someone has tried and it worked besides surgery? I beg of u ppl to help me out with this problem... it has really affected me psychologically...I used to be very athletic and popular... now i hunch over to hide my problem. pls help Has your doctor carried out any bloods tests for pituitary disfunction? Occasionally, pituitary gland disfunction can cause breast enlargement in males. It might be worth asking about this prior to considering any surgery. |
