Do i have Gynecomastia?(pics) ........ a.k.a Man boobs?

ok from the looks of the pictures do i have Gynecomastia, i have gone to my family doctor about this, and she said this is normal and they should be "going away" by when im 16-18 years old,that was two years ago, and to be honest i dont think i will enjoy my teen years in the summer.

Like last summer in 07 i didnt go to the beach at all, while my entire family went i deicied to stay at home, and i havent gone to the pool either.

The thing is i hate having this condition bc i can wear a Holllister shirt without my nipples popping out. I hate it, (btw my cousin gaveme that shirt, a month ago and i have yet to wear it in public). Everytime i see a kid my age at school with just one shirt on, i think to myself, why cant i have a chest like his, bc its normal.

Idk i really dont like this and there is no option for surgery bc my mom defianlty wont let me get surgery even though i havent asked her yet, i know she wont, trust me. help

had since i was 14, or i started noticing when i was 14, and im 16 now just turned on Dec 28th.

btw im not to skinny, i work out and im on the wreslting team, lol so dont say that, ty. im 5'6 140pounds

its also quiet embrassing as a wreslter to wear those singlets(tights) and have my nipp nipps popping out :/

Since your young and in good shape, I would talk to your parents about getting a second opinion from another Doctor. If your not comfortable talking to your parents about this and have a job, I would seek out another doctor. You should be able to get a suggestion from your county's health department or email a area hospital for a doctor who could help you.

It maybe just a phase and be perfectly normal, but I would check.

OMG i think you do, it could mean that you have really high estrogen levels ( girl hormone) in your body, especially since your skinny, you could get your hormone levels checked at your doctor's and they can give you more testosterone or give you estrogen blockers, dont let it ruin your teen years, as for the hollister shirt, i know how you feel im a size medium in regular shirts and i have to get an XL in hollister because anything else is too tigh and revealing

Yes, you probably DO have it. BUT i'm sure if you ask your mom and say you can't even go to the beach or pool, she will definitely say you can get surgery. just be honest with her and tell her you truly are embarrassed by it, and you need it to be done, so that you can live life without embarassment.

I have had gynecomastia since I was in 2nd grade!!! My "man boobs" are SIGNIFICANTLY BIGGER than yours... I would LOVE to have yours!!! When I was in 2nd grade the next door neighbor girl said to me, "Hey Paul, I have an extra bra that you can use if you need it!" So... I KNOW what you're going through... I KNOW what is feels like to be embarrassed about your chest, but, please believe me, yours are SMALL and they might just go away like the doctor says they will. Regardless, you need to accept yourself and not worry about it. I am twice you age and have come to believe that they are an ASSET, not a liability for me when it comes to having fun in the bedroom. Don't worry about it. If you email me I can send you a pic of mine to show you that yours are TINY compared to mine. Hang in there... it will be ok!

go to a docter mate get it reversed.. if ur 18 go by urself

A friend of mine had this, but not as bad as you. I really think you should find a different doctor. Your case seems to be more advanced then most.

just ask your mother and see what she says. you wont know until you ask her...
