Do I have gum disease? |
I'm not so sure what gum disease, but I have a feeling I'm getting it. do they bleed at all? Periodontitis is inflammation of the periodontium鈥攖he periodontal ligament, gingiva, cementum, and alveolar bone. It usually presents as a worsening of gingivitis. Symptoms are rare except with HIV or when abscesses develop, in which pain and swelling are common. Diagnosis is based on inspection, periodontal probing, and x-rays. You cannot get antibiotics without a prescription. Period. How do you know that you need antibiotics? How do you even know that it's gum disease and not something else? Unless you have MD ... Gum disease can cause abscesses in the gums and then this bacteria in the mouth can get into the blood stream. Once in the blood stream it is possible for the bacteria to stick to walls of the art... Bleeding is the single most indicating sign of gum inflammation. and could be a result of periodontal disease. Brushing regularly would not help reducing bleeding or relieving inflammation if perio... How long since your last cleaning? Do you floss correctly everyday? Do you use a soft toothbrush and brush at least twice a day for 2-3 minutes at a 45 degree angle to the gum line? How old is your... it sounds very mysterious to me...you still need to go to the dentist and have it checked out. who knows; you might be able to cure it before it causes even bigger problems! does the bump hurt? if ... At my last teeth cleaning, my gums started to bleed and the hygienist told me to floss. So I started flossing every day and the bleeding stopped. The "funny taste" in your mouth... well t... It depends on how gentle the hygienist or dentist is and on whether or not she opts for local anaesthetic. Some people seem to do ok without it, but if she is scared of pain, she should opt for it ...
