Would gum disease be a cause of bad taste in my mouth/throat? |
I clean my teeth everyday and try to look after them, but they have started to bleed a little so i'm worried it may be gum disease. I also have a funny taste in the back of my mouth/throat which i can only describe as when you've sprayed hairspray and accidently get the taste in your mouth! Can anyone advise please? At my last teeth cleaning, my gums started to bleed and the hygienist told me to floss. So I started flossing every day and the bleeding stopped. The "funny taste" in your mouth... well that sounds kind of serious... you should see a dentist. Could be gum disease or infection. Should see a dentist. Before you diagnose yourself see a dentist. As for bleeding are you brushing too hard on your gums? Be careful it will cause major receeding and your gums will never grow back. Go see your dentist. Only a Dentist or Hygeneist can tell you that x Yes you must see your dentist immediately. Sounds like gingivitis, or a throat infection. An oral mothwash should help, or you could chew day gum. http://www.fda.gov/fdac/features/2002/30... a dentist would be the person to help you. yes it can be ... go see your local dentist they done wonders for my mouth i had not been for 15 yrs and i now have perfect nashers now all you have to do is ask the dentist Having a bad taste in the mouth can be because of inflammed gingiva or in other words you can say a gum disease. One of the most reliable and reprodicible sign of gum disease is bleeding on slight provocation or spontaneous bleeding in severe cases. You are definitely suffering from a gum disease. The next cause is abscess in the mouth and gingiva. Yet others are periodontal pockets, a grossly decayed tooth, or a retained rooth stump after gross destruction of the coronal portion of the crown, any opening sinus tract from a perapical abscess or a periodontal abscess. u mite b havin bleedin gums cos of the dirt on ur teeth.. the first thing tht the dentist will do is clean the dirt in or teeth.. don eat food wich may et caught into the gap between ur teeth...for example don eat chicken, corn and u kno... What does your dentist say? It sounds like gingivitis. If your flossing and using a mouth rinse this can get the gum bleeding under control. One really good thing that you can do is every three months get some Betadine swabs and trace around each tooth at the gum line. This will kill and prevent the growth of bacteria that causes decay and halitosis, it tastes like really bad worst taste ever but man it works like a charm! Good luck and let me know if this helps you! meet that guy which we all hate. Talk to a local dentist ASAP. |
