Has anyone used Periogen for gum disease?

Has anyone used this for gum disease and bone loss? Has it helped? Just want opinions before I buy it. THanks

Although this company advertises that it helps gum and bone disease, there is no professional literature substantiating this claim and they are just going to begin having Stage III trials for FDA approval. It may well do as it says, but at this point, I can't find any legitimate recognized literature backing its claims.

There are two Periogens out there, and the first answer addresses a product from India that is bone regenerative in nature and is in clinical trials there.

The "American" Periogen is also in clinical trials; at Harvard, and is currently available for purchase. Its maker, Global Tonic LLC, has an open discussion of effectiveness on globaltonic.com/blog.

This Periogen dissolves sub-gingival tartar - thus breaking the chain of periodontal disease.

You may find your answers on that blog.
