Do dentist know if you have gum disease or not after they have examined or cleaned your teeth? |
I went to the dentist this morning but forgot to talk to her about my bleeding teeth. she did clean my teeth after all....like will she know if I have gum disease or not if I didnt tell her that my teeth are bleeding when I brush them? Well, you should have let her know that you have problems, but, yes, she will know if you have a gum disease, and she would have indicated that to you while she was cleaning your teeth. She would have advised you that you need a deep cleaning, which means, that you have a plaque build up at the gum line. I think you're fine since she didn't alert you, but you should call your dentist tomorrow and tell them that you have bleeding gums. Do you use a hard tooth brush, is so, change it to a soft tooth brush...call your dentist tomorrow, I think you're fine, but take precautions. Gum disease can be detrimental to your overall health. Take care, be well. She should... If they did not bleed when the dentist cleaned them then you need a different tooth brush.And yes a dentist can tell healthy gums from unhealthy gums even if you dont complain about your gums to a dentist.When they are looking at your teeth with that litlle mirror they are also checking for any gum problems. She should! When she cleans your teeth(like using the curettes etc. ) she must see all the blood, which means either you have alot of plaque or you may have gum disease! Yes she should have |
