When your gum around the teeth startes to come off is that gum disease? |
i have white stuff around the area where i usually had my gum. gum disease happens when the gums retreat from bacteria on the teeth. prevent it by brushing and flossing every day. if not you will need periodontal surgery. loosing teeth isn't pretty and other negative effects on health have been attributed to sick gums and poor oral hygene. Yes it sounds like it. Do you smoke? you might want to go to the doctor or dentist about that. Your gums may be abscesssed. A little boy in my area died from that recently because the infection traveled to his brain. Yes. Check out this video clip of gum disease. It may be or it may be that you are brushing too hard. If it might be because of brushing too hard, switch to a softer toothbrush. I brush too hard and I had to learn how to brush correctly from my dentist. Spaces in between your teeth can also be caused by damaging the gums by flossing wayy too hard or using a waterpik incorrectly or by gum disease. A dentist will tell you if it is gum disease or not. Only a dentist can control it, you won't be able to do it yourself. Sometimes it's can include a deep cleaning or prescribing a rinse. See a doc, you'll know for sure and get some piece of mind. Good luck! I would go to the dentist right away. You may have receeding gums, you can have skin grafted to your gum line... But don`t wait too long, or else you`ll loose your teeth. |
