How can you grief without crying?

How can you grief without crying?

You dont have to cry to grieve although it is a good way of releasing emotion.
Just allow yourself to feel the pain, feel the emotions and miss the person.
Grief that is held in can cause psychological problems and sometimes comes tumbling out at a later inappropriate time.

If you're Christian, praying and reading the Bible is the best thing you can do.

Otherwise, write in a journal or some similar format - just a free venting onto paper (or a computer screen). Listen to (appropriate) music. Find someone you trust to discuss your feelings. Those are all things I do.

Everyone handles grief in their own way. Repressing it can be harmful both physically and emotionally. Crying is one form of release. There's no shame in that. The bible says there is a 'time to weep'. Talking about your feelings to someone who is a true friend or even writing them down in a journal can be a big help. There's no immediate remedy, but time and patience will ease the pain.
