Are there any holistic/alternative medicinal MD's out here in Long island NY that treat Graves disease? |
I was diagnosised with Graves disease and I am looking far and wide for a holistic oriented type doctor that can heal or manage my hyperthyroid without these horrible medication that I am on called PTU or methimazole and I certainly DO NOT want to destroy my thryroid glands with radioactive iodone treatment (aka ablation) I am only 31 and I will not detsroy a part of my body only to become hypothyroid. These endocrinologist are way too busy robbing and raping me of what's left of my bank account because I have no health insurance which gives them carte blanche to scare and dismiss me out of their office in a vile 10 mins. Honestly hun I had RAI in 2002 and I do not regret it. I had allergic reactions to the methimazole and I was taking like 15-20 pills a day. Now I take one a day to manage it. I am now 25 years old. It would be cheaper for you to do the RAI and pay Walmart the 4 bucks a month for your meds. Good luck! check out these websites they may offer some help.... |
