Gout or broke? |
Jumped out of my husbands dump truck (cause thats the only way to get down) 8 days ago but My pad on the bottom of my foot hurts not bruised but swollen and Im in pain #2 toe is killing me red swollen, My question is could this be gout because If I broke something in my foot wouldnt it be discolored? You should go get it checked out by your nearest podiatrist to get a x-ray to make sure nothing is broken. Since it's due to trauma, it's unlikely it's gout b/c it usually affects the big toe joint instead of the 2nd. Sometimes an injury can appear red and swollen as well. Use ice and Advil/Aleve until you see your doctor. You'll likely get a walking boot for a short period of time to allow the area to heal. normally there is discoloration with a break. You may have damaged tendons and that can be more difficult to heal then a break. You should see your medical doctor and get an xray to find out what has happened. |
