Give me detail for gout?

what to eat in gout and do no eat in gout
how to solution in this matter

Gout is caused when there is over production of uric acid in normal purine metabolism in the body

Uric acid levels in the body can be controlled through medications, thus reducing the number of gout attacks. Doctors will usually prescribe a medication called allopurinol that stops the over production of uric acid. If the kidneys are not excreting enough uric acid, your doctor may prescribe a different kind of medication such as probenecid or sulfinpyrazone

Nonsalicylate NSAIDS (nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs) such as ibuprofen may be used for pain relief. Aspirin should not be used because it can actually make symptoms of gout worse

Talk to your doctor or nutritionist about starting a proper diet. There are certain foods that you should stay away from and be sure to limit your alcohol intake as wine and beer have been shown to make symptoms worse.

Also dont eat "beany" foods.

The advice in medications above are helpful. And as to your question on what to eat and what not to eat, here's a short list of certain foods...

What NOT to eat:

- organs of animals, like kidneys, heart, liver, etc.
- mussels, generally shellfish
- oysters, shrimps, squids
- turkey
- yeast
- sweetbreads
- beans (all kinds)
- nuts
- chocolates
- anchovies, herring, tuna, mackerel
- gravies and soy sauce
- coffee, tea
- sardines
- cola

What to eat:

- fruits and fruit juices
- vegetables except the bean family
- poultry, except turkey
- dark berries (it has properties that reduce uric acids)
- cereals, oats
- honey
- milk

Hope you'll find the list helpful. But please take note that it is NOT adviceable to totally avoid the purine-rich foods. Moderation is always key.

Along with the diet recommendations from the previous answer you should also avoid alcohol, particularly beer.

Also drink lots of water, ideally 2 liters a day or more if you have a physical job or do a lot of exercise. This helps to flush the excess uric acid from your system and alleviate the pain.

Eating cherries has also been proven to expel uric acid from the body, so adding a handful to your breakfast or as a snack could be helpful.

Good Luck!
