Mouth swelling with Gout?

My husband has Gout. He s NOT taking any medications for this. Has anyone ever heard of swelling of the mouth associated with Gout? I know it sounds like an allergic reaction butagain, he is not taking any medication so it cannot be an allergic reaction.

also if you know of any websites that give information on swelling of the mouth from Gout can you let me know.

Definition
A metabolic affliction due to excessive uric acid in the blood deposits uriate of sodium in and around the joints. This is associated with the high blood level and decreased urinary excretion of uric acid, and is often accompanied with fever and excessive increase in leukocytes. Gout inflames a joint, it does sound like a allergic reaction maybe to something he ate,I would take Benedryl.

Have him take over the counter Benadryl. You could go online like...Mouth swell Gout...Good Luck to you! He can have a allergic reaction from his gout and his mouth swelling. Tell him to take his medicines that his dr scribed to him. Unless he wants babing from you....I would make it tough on him if I was you...Scare him alittle maybe then he will take his medications.
