What is "Gout" and how can the pain be relieved?

My brother just found out that he has Gout and his pain is unbareable how can he get some relieve of the pain. it seems like it is not going away. It is in his foot

Gout is a form of arthritis caused by high amounts of uric acid in the blood. Attacks develop quickly. And are very painful.
Crystals form in the blood. Imaginge a bunch of pointed snow flakes all crammed in to a small place. Those crystals hurt!
Bro needs a doctor. A Medrol Dose Pak will help him get over the flare and there are 2 meds used for gout, Allopurionol and Colchicine.
Bro needs to give up the beer and eat a low purine diet. He can't handle this alone. A doctor needs to guide him.

Gout is a build up of uric acid, it's as you know extremely painful. your brothers doctor should have given him medicine to treat the gout and relieve pain, beyond medicine i know that elevation and removing all pressure from the aria helps with the pain. Once he starts on the meds the pain should be much better in two to three days.

Gout is a lifestyle disease due to eating too much overly processed food. He needs multigrain whole foods also strong antioxidants (strong anti-inflammatory) such as OPC

Dr. Duke takes celery seed extract for his gout.
