What is gout?

Maybe I have spelled it wrong, but what is gout? And how is it formed and what what causes it and what makes it better?

I know its a lot to ask in one question, but I have severe pain in my joints and I had a couple of drinks last night.

Thanks

How do I get rid of it? Drink lots of water, exercise?

Gout is condition that results from crystals of uric acid depositing in tissues of the body. Gout is characterized by an overload of uric acid in the body and recurring attacks of joint inflammation (arthritis). Chronic gout can lead to deposits of hard lumps of uric acid in and around the joints, decreased kidney function, and kidney stones.

For more details check this link...http://www.medicinenet.com/gout/article.... AND DO TAKE CARE....!!!

Gout is a genetic disorder that causes uric acid crystals to form and accumulate in the arteries that supply blood to certain joints in the body. The buildup of these tiny crystals causes inflammation and pain in the joint. After time, this will lead to permanent enlargement of the joint and decreased mobility. The symptoms are similar to arthritis.

I hope this helps!
