Why does my gout keep switching toes?

In the fall, I had an attack of gout, and it was in my left big toe. The only two other times I had attacks, they were in my right toe, and now I can feel it in my right toe again. I know it's a seasonal thing, but does anyone know why it would switch toes like that?

I don't know why it switches toes, but I think you need to see a doctor. Gout is caused by the crystalization of uric acid, and seems to affect men more than women. Go to your doctor for the proper treatment and he or she will prescribe a medicine that will help this condition. Good luck!

Gout have no targeted destination, it just happens.

It will go where ever it sees fit. I have had it in my toes and my knees.
Until you get your uric acid levels in check, the gout will continue to manifest itself at very in-opportune times.

I take Allo-purinol for it. See your doctor.

Good luck. Ice helps a bit.
