Gonorrhea can effect fertility. Check the link below for more information.

Good luck!

yes, gonorrhea is curable, and it will not affect you later.

Yeah if u have received medicine u will be fine. Chlamydia is the thing that damages ur tubes.

DUH? You want to hear uneducated opinions over that of an OB Gyn that has examined you?. If the STD didn't make you sterile, You're OK. .
OK ...That'll be $ 200.00, please.

yes the dr right.although gonorrhea can cause plevic floor problems, you sound ok and had good treatment.caught in time.put mind at rest.good luck sure it will be fine

Since you caught it, the infection probably didn't have enough time to spread up into your fallopian tubes and cause any scarring, and since a doctor already told you this, you're probably in the clear.

Around 20% of gonococcal infections (aka gonorrhea) will enter the uterus and fallopian tubes and do some damage which may or may not result in infertility. This condition is called pelvic inflamatory disease (PID). Both gonorrhea and chlamydia are among the most natorious bacteria for causing this condition, but usually after longer-term infections. An arguably more serious complication is ectopic/tubal pregnancy. An ectopic pregnancy is more likey to happen after PID because the tube (and the microscopic fingers inside that push eggs down into the uterus) can get scarred over. These are serious, though unlikely in your case, and you should seek medical attention if you ever try to get pregnant again and feel severe abdominal/pelvic pain or notice irregular menstrual bleeding.

Though it doesn't pertain to your case, the scarriest part of PID is that ~50% of women who have the infertility/scarring, never knew that they had PID in the first place.
