Who discovered the dease gonorrhea?

i am doing this project and i wanted to ask who dicovered the disease called gonorrhea?has this desease changed since it was discover and how? has it become more or less dangerous?
what happens when the diseas first infects the person until the time the syphonsbecome apearant?. if you guys have any site please tell me or if you guys know it and are sure of it.
