Is is possible to get gonorrhea from using public bathrooms?

MY LITTLE SISTER IS 16 AND SHE CAME TO ME CRYING SAYING SHE WENT TO THE DOCTOR AND THE DOC TOLD HER, HER PAP WAS ABNORMAL AND WANTED TO RUN A GONORRHEA, CHLYMADIA TEST ON HER. SHE SAID SHE CAME BACK NEGATIVE FOR CHLYMADIA BUT POSITIVE FOR GONORRHEA. SHE PROMISED ME SHE HAS NEVER BEEN SEXUALLY ACTIVE, NEVER EVEN KISSED A BOY. I JUST WANNA KNOW IS SHE LYING TO ME OR COULD SHE REALLY HAVE GOTTEN IT FROM USING A PUBLIC BATHROOM.

No, you cannot get an STD from a public restroom. Just sexual contact. She may feel ashamed so just support her and maybe...educate her on exactly what is considered sexual contact?

No, you cannot get gonorrhea from a public restroom. Any number of reasons can make a pap come back abnormal. My last pap came back abnormal, but the tech used the wrong thing and there was a problem. I would suggest having the test and going from there. Eventually she will have to come clean because she will not be the only one infected. Her partner gave it to her and if she has a different partner then of course he will get it. Not a good thing if everyone is promiscuous.

you cannot get this gonorrhea infection thru any public restroom, chairs etc etc...strains of bacteria cannot live outside of the body...i think she's ashamed to admit she is sexually active unless she was messing around doing some heavy petting naked and his penis was near her vagina and his fluids entered that way but i highly doubt it..she had intercourse
