Is it possible that I have gonorrhea?

I had a sore throat for about a week now.I went to my doctor and she tested me for strep throat.she said it takes 48 hours for the test to come back.however she said it could be a slight possibility that I have throat gonorrhea.I told her I only been doing sexual activites with my girlfriend.
Me and my girl been 2gether for a year and 2 months but we was broken up for 2 weeks and got back together 4 months ago.
We always have unprotected sex.Another thing my moms caught my cold too from being around me.She has a sore throat now.My girl has no gonorrhea symptoms.Im also thinking if she does have it,why didnt i get it when we first got back together(we had unprotected sex)

Could it be possible that I have gonorrhea or could I have strep throat or just be sick in general?

Of course it's "possible" but is very unlikely. The reported cases of oral gonorrhea are relatively few (although a few species of Neisseria do inhabit the oropharynx). It is much more likely that you have a virus (or strep), as is evidenced by the fact that your mother has the same symptoms...'tis the season for respiratory ailments.
