Can u get gonorrhea by having protected sex? |
is it possible to still catch gonorrhea when you are using protection. According to the Center for Disease Control, use of a condom REDUCES the risk of transmission of gonorrhea, but DOES NOT eliminate it, even if used properly. If you get it, the disease is highly treatable... but not getting it is even better! sure, why not. protected sex does not guarentee anything- not even getting std's Gonorrhea is highly contageous! ANY contact with the penis, vagina, mouth or anus can spread the disease. if by protection u mean condom then yes it's still possible but very unlikely yes its still possible to catch it when wearing a condom, but the risk is like 1 in a billion If you are using protection then no (bear in mind that not all protection is 100%). no not if you use a latex condom unless the condom rips or tears wich is not very common Not as long as the protection remains intact. Gonorrhea is an anaerobic organism. (Meaning it can not survive in an oxygen environment. Therefore it requires that body fluid, and disease, be swapped from partners in a non-air environment. If their is a condom involved, their can not be transmission, unless it breaks. You can greatly lower your risk of catching an STD by using a condom every time you have sex. Condoms are available for both men and women, but are most commonly worn by the man. A condom must be used properly every time. Keep in mind that STDs can still be spread, even if you use a condom, because a condom does not cover surrounding skin areas. But a condom definitely reduces your risk. It's still possible but better than nothing. yes you can get this even with protced sex you can get it by body fluids from the caiiers who is infected based on fact. my opion? While more unlikely to get it, it is still possible. That is why no form of protection ever says it is 100% guaranteed. |
