Can a female contract gonorrhea from another female by direct contact?

I saw an episode of CSI:Special Victims Unit on TV last night and part of the plotline included a young girl contracting gonorrhea from another girl, who was abusing her. This was supposed to be through direct contact, not via a male. The program never specified what exactly happened betwen these two girls, except to say that one was abusing the other while she was drugged. Have the scriptwriters gone mad? I must confess I'm confused by this one. Are they right? Is it even possible and if so... how?

Yes, if any fluid was exchanged.

I would say that there must have body fluids exchanged thru an open cut, scratch, or sore.

It depends on the contact but if she used a sex toy on herself and infected it and then on the other girl wow and below she will probably get the disease

Yes.

Symptoms

Gonorrhea is a sexually transmitted disease caused by a bacterium called neisseria gonorrhoea. It is passed on by sexual contact with an infected person. The sexual contact can be of any type. The bacterium passes to the partner if the secretions of the affected genital or anus come in contact with mucous membrane of the partner. Gonorrhea can affect the genitals of both the sexes, the anus and the mouth. Eyes can also be infected if bacteria are passed on to eyes by hand contact. A mother can pass on gonorrhea to her baby. Shaking hands cannot pass on gonorrhea. If anybody once treated for gonorrhea, comes in contact with infection again, he/she may get re-infected. More- http://www.doctorgoodskin.com/ds/gonorrh...
