Is it possibile to get gonorrhea if your not sexually active in any way???

i recently got a pap test done amd they called me and told me i tested positive for gonorrhea, but i have never had any type of sex in my life. how is this possible???

Hi there,

Gonorrhea is caused by the bacterium Neisseria gonorrhoeae. It can be spread during vaginal, anal, or oral sex with an infected partner. A pregnant woman may pass the infection to her newborn during delivery.

Gonorrhea can be transmitted any time by an infected person, whether or not symptoms are present. An infected person is contagious until he or she has been treated.

Having a gonorrhea infection once does not protect you from getting another infection in the future. A new exposure to gonorrhea will cause a new infection, even if you were previously treated and cured.

Cheers.

Could have been passed from your mother or your father could have given it to your mother then you got it from her.

I dont think it is unless he rubbed his penis on your vagina but didnt stick it in

i don't know how the hells that's possible.. unless it was passed to you by your mother at birth but you would've been gotten cured.

get another pap test somewhere else, they probably screwed it up
