TSH level is .5 and I have multinodule goiter-doc says borderland hyper?

My doc did a TSH and it came back at .5 and I have a multi nodule goiter that is continuing to grow and not slowly. I had to beg him to do a T3 and T4 test since I am a fifth generation woman with a goiter. He says that since my TSH is .5 that I am borderline Hyper thyroid. However, I continue to gain weight? What in the world is going on with me? I will find out the T3 and T4 results tomorrow. He will not put me on thyroid meds even though I have this growing goiter. Is he a quack?

I have had a biopsy and found out that the nodules are benien. But, my goiter continues to grow. In the last two months it has doubled in size.

According to the results of your T3 and T4 you may or may not need any medications. Changes in appetite and weight are very common among hyperthyroid patients.
