If you have a toxic goiter, what food shall be avoided? |
If you have a toxic goiter, what food shall be avoided? Grave's Disease? How does a person know IF they have toxic goiter? I've never heard of it before. I've heard of goiters, but not toxic goiters.....sounds scary to me. I hope you get some good answers here b/c I want to check back to see what they say. Good luck...........I'm assuming that it is you that has this condition. I don't know which food should be avoided, but obviously you need more IODINE in your diet! Don't listen to the lady below me, Thiouracil is another treatment used for goiters! Iodine-deficient people are more likely to get them, so common sense is to increase your iodine content! If you had : Diffuse Toxic Goiter, your diet must include caloric intake to meet the energy expenditure of the hypermetabolism. |
