What is the best medication for goiter ?

My daughter sees an endocrinologist for treatment of her goiter which, for her, is a symptom of Hashimoto's Thyroiditis. She was originally treated with the prescription Tapizole. Currently her thyroid function has leveled off and she is not on any medication. The doctor has said that we may continue the Tapizole as she gets older in order to shrink the goiter.
