Is metropolol advisable for people with goiter?

Is metropolol advisable for people with goiter?

also known as Lopressor or toprol. It is a beta blocker used to reduce hypertension (high blood pressure), to treat chest pain (angina), to treat heart failure, and to reduce the risk that a heart attack will recur.
Some people with thyroid disease can not take it however I assume if your physician prescribed it for you he/she is aware of the fact that you have a goiter? If not ( and a goiter is hard to miss) you should bring it to your physicians attention or speak with your endocrinologist about it.
