What dose of synthroid is administered to reduce goiter or tumor? |
swollen thyroid gland, but all bloodwork for Thyroid shows normal. Normal isn't always normal. The ranges at most labs are outdated for their thyroid levels. Many labs have the range as 0.3 to 5.5. AACE recommends treatment at a TSH of 3.0 and some other sources say a 2.0 with symptoms should be treated. Also, TSH should always be done in the morning as TSH is highest while we sleep so testing first thing in the morning is the best time to test. |
