Glaucoma, trying to conceive and pregnancy?

I have suspected Glaucoma (all my eye tests are borderline) and my ophthalmologist suggested me to use an eyedrop "Xalatan" as a prevention.

However, I'm trying to conceive and wondering if it's safe for use in pregnancy. I searched about the drug and it's in Category C, which means that there hasn't been much research on the effects of the drug in pregnancy.

I'd like to know if there're any mothers out there who has Glaucoma and use these kind of eye drop (or Xalatan especially) during pregnancy and breast feeding and find that it's safe?

My ophthalmologist said it's "probably safe", which makes me worrried.

Any other insights by others are also welcomed. Thanks.

I use Xalatan as I have had Glaucoma for years and years. I must admit that I started to use various eye drops only after my child was born so I have no experience with Xalatan's effects. I used other drops that caused rapid heartbeats and other side effects. Have you seen this site?

I think you do not have many other options, you need to treat your Glaucoma or lose your eyesight
so the only thing might be that your won't breastfeed your baby. As to pregnancy maybe talk to an experienced ob/gyn?
