Glaucoma treatment? |
I have been offered treatment for glaucoma using a Cyclodiode laser. Has anyone had this treatment and what happened afterwards? Thanks in advance for your help. What are the risk to having this procedure done? Has anything gone wrong with anyone's eyes afterwards? My Wife has had this treatment plus two lots of surgery she now has eyedrops night and morning, and thank God everything is under control. Great progress has been made in th treatment of Glaucoma so keep you chin up this is a tried and tested method. go ahead with confidence my mum had this treatment on both her eyes now her sight is greatly improved and she is 85 I have to wear my glasses when she dosn't to read things. She was in and out with in the day, had a bandage on her eye for a couple of days and that was it. Go for it!!! you will not be sorry, they will do one eye at a time so that you can see, it is the going into hospital twice which can be a bit unerving but you must go for it you wont regret it xx The laser treatment punches small holes into your eyes where the fluid causing the excess pressure is released, as I am sure you are aware. I had the treatment in both eyes and that solved the problem for a number of years (approx 5 or 6) when it no longer worked. Now I'm using eye drops (Zalatan) which is OK, too. |
