My aunt has glaucoma?

hi,

My aunt lives in Africa where there is no good treatment. She has glaucoma but does not want to go abroad for treatment. I will be visiting her soon and wondered is there anything I can do or take for her that will help the glaucoma?

Thank you

your love and your prayers and we will be praying for her here as well

She must have seen a doc to know she has it, so why didn't they just prescribe eye drops. Anyway you could try and get some Travatan or xylatan. I suggest you look them up on drug search.

Both of these drops help maintain the ocular pressure and are pretty good. She will not have to put the travatan in the frig, but the other has to be in a frig after opening. She will need to be monitored as sometimes the pressure can drop low and the stuff can irritate the eye.

Anyway both will do the trick. Some people have a reaction to the preservatives in them and travatan has just come out with a new one called travatan z, which has no preservatives in it.

It there are no doctors check with yours and see what they say, you will have to get the prescription from them anyway. Take care and hope it works out.
