Can glaucoma be completely cured?

Glaucoma is the disease of eye.It is caused due to eye pressure elevation.

It cannot be cured, but the symptoms can be controlled. Medical science currently does not know why the pressure in the eye rises. For most people, glaucoma can be controlled with thrice-daily applied eye drops. Some people need surgery.

I am afraid not. But, it can be very well kept under control (like Diabetes and high blood pressure). In some cases, there may be another primary condition, which caused glaucome. If you treat that primary condition, you can very well control the Glaucoma. But, there is no cure for Glaucome. You can learn to live with it like many more chronic conditions.
