Glaucoma Suspect?

Why do we have to spend money to use eye drops and get unnecessary side effect if we are only being suspected to have Glaucoma?

Can't we not just
1. Not use any eye drops
2. Get our eyes checked as often as needed to see any nerve damage or whatever test necessary.

We can, afterwards use drop if we suspect any damage coming.

Any comments will be greatly appreciated

I cant tell you what to do. In the case of my grandmother, the side effects caused us not to continue with the drops.
I was borderline myself and the pressure stabilized as my health and diet improved.
Wishing you the best of luck.
