Glandular Fever???

Okay a few weeks ago i had some blood tests done to check everything out and it came back that I have an enlarged liver so the doctor did another test to see what it was (he said it was one of three thing Hepititis, Glandular Fever or a Virus) the results came back in and he said that it showed that i HAD glandular fever but i didnt have it anymore, now in the 3 months before that I had ongoing body pain, lightheadedness, diahreah, nausea and no appitite to the point where if i put food in my mouth i gagged, im just wondering if they where the symptoms of the Glandular fever i had had in my system, all of that has cleared up now but im still feeling tired all the time, so my question is where they the symptoms and how long does it take for the tiredness to pass? Thanks heaps.

Congratulations, you had mono and didn't really realize it. That's what gladular fever is, an infection by the Epstein-Barr virus. You describe the typical infection course as well. So is the residual fatigue you experience. That can hang in there for months sometimes, as your body finishes up cleaning house and putting everything back in order. It's a tough fight for the body to kill off a virus, and that one is particularly tough to fight sometimes. In the meantime, you will do best to function as your body tell you. You need simply to take life a little slower for the moment. If you eat a well balanced diet, so you will have good nutrition, and you rest, the fatigue should gradually disappear on it's own. As long as the liver remains enlarged, you will have to avoid strenous physical activity, and contact sports though. On the positive side, you have had it, now you have antibodies, and you will never get mono again.

DONT drink.
DONT take Drugs.
Eat Fruits & veggies,
Drink Juices.
See a Doc,
& Pray.
