Glandular fever...?

Is glandular fever only caused by kissing? Or is there another way that it can be spread?

Infectious mononucleosis (glandular fever) is a viral infection caused by the Epstein-Barr virus. Kissing is the most common way it is spread; however, the virus remains in airborne droplets (saliva) so if you have contact with saliva you could potentially become infected (sharing silverware, etc). It is also important to note that not all individuals who contract the virus develop glandular fever.
