Glandular fever??? Help!?

I had glandular fever 2 years ago and did get better for about six months, but now whenever im stressed, drink alcohol or get generally run down I feel really bad. (Tired shakes generally unwell).
I get white spots on my tonsills, which are painless, every week and these go in a few days then return the following week. They get worse when im stressed.
I would like to know if this is normal? I have had blood tests and all is fine other then slightly raised blood protein which they are investigating. They will not retest for glandular fever because they say it will still show positive.
It is destroying my life at the moment because I have lost my tolerance to everything caffine, alcohol the lot (if I have 2 beers it feels like a bottle of vodka the next day) I have no energy, and the rare days I do if I push myself I pay for it. the doctor is trying his hardest but says its rair for glandular fever to last so long.
Can anybody shine some light on this?? or do I have something else?

Yes i can, i had glandular fever and for about 3 years after my immune system was shot, i kept on getting colds, having no energy. I can really sympathise. I found that, taking multivitamins, things like echinacea and garlic tablets helped me so much!!

You need to re-build your immune system like i did and now i am fine, it does take such a long time to get over this. But seriously take immune boosting supplements, it really really helped me. Good luck to you :)
