Glandular fever - is it coming back, am i overdoing it?

I was diagnosed with glandular fever in july 2006 i didnt rest as much as i should as i was getting married in the september. As well as try to work full time and run my own dancing school. I couldnt manage to work i tried but was unable and i missed most of my wedding dance with what i now term as a glandular fever headache. I gave up my job in oct as the doc didnt think i would be better much before february 2007 as i had a responsible job and didnt think i'd manage - i found it very hard to think and keep my concentration. i got a puppy at the beginning oft he year and gradually started to feel better with lots of fresh air. Then in july this year the job i always wanted came up i love my job but it is stressful, hectic and involves travel and early starts. my dancing school has also taken off. And this week i am now off work with swollen glands, and flu like symptoms. I am now panicing i'm having a relapse,. My husband and parents think i'm over doing it. Anyone any advice

I had glandular fever about 12 years ago, and the only advice I can give you is you MUST rest.
As I understand it, it is not the glandular fever itself, but the post-viral symptoms which come back - your body acts like you still have the virus because it is not sufficiently recovered and strong.
You have to take things slowly and build up gradually.
Go back to see your doctor if you are worried, but I think it probably comes down to not pushing yourself too hard.
Hope you're feeling better soon.

my mum has glandular fever and she had to take a few days off. She runs a university, so it was a huge deal, but after the few days rest she felt a lot better.
You need to take it easy for a while and lots of fresh air will help.
Hope that you get better.
