Glandular fever- and puss in my troth? |
Iv got glandular fever (very soar nd not very pleasant!!) but iv got puss on my tonsels, iv been told that this puss is a result of my white blood cells ( by a nurse nd not a doctor) but then im told that it is a good thing to get rid of the puss by gargling with mouth wash. this seems contridictiory to me so id be glad if you could clarify it for me. tanks 4 ur answers but u shud no dat it RECKS to swallow (even slyvia) and it is very painful 2 gargle!! Actually you have an infection. That's what puss is. If your throat or tonsils are coated with "white stuff" or "puss" then you more than likely have strep throat which requires antibiotics right away. That will get rid of the infection. she is very true Yes, you should gargle with Salt water this is good... Also, you should have 3 spoons of Apple cider vinegar. That works like a charm! Good Luck! pointage! you need some soup dude! try chicken! Er i think u mean PUS...id hate to think u have a cat stuck in your throat, now THAT would be painful!!! pus is simply white blood cells that have had a battle with something and died (ie virus) they then turn milky yellow color and r called pus I suffered tremendously as a child from 'sore tonsils' but the old doctor strongly advised my mother not to have them taken out. This was at a time when the majority of children had them removed at the drop of a hat. I used to gargle with salty water and after a year of pain and pus, I was cured. I have seldom if ever had a sore throat since and that was over 50 years ago. What I am trying to say to you is, put up with it, follow the nurses instructions and use the mouthwash and all will be well soon......... |
